Charging only at a certain angle?
A loose connection, slow charge or cable that no longer registers may point to several causes. Tell us what happens when you plug in; the workshop can check the charging path.

What happens when you connect power?
Does the cable need holding in place? Does the device charge intermittently? These details help narrow down what needs checking.
- No ChargingNo power response when a known working cable and compatible charger are connected.
- Intermittent ConnectionThe device repeatedly connects and disconnects or charges only in one position.
- Slow ChargingPower increases unusually slowly or the device reports a charging warning.
- Loose or Damaged PortThe plug feels loose, will not seat correctly or the port has visible physical damage.
- Data ConnectionA computer does not recognise the device even though some charging response remains.
- Charging Circuit FaultBoard-level diagnosis may be needed when the port and accessories are not the cause.
Can debris cause charging problems?
Dust can affect a connection, but do not put sharp objects into the port. Ask the workshop to check it instead.
Which devices can you assess?
Phones, tablets, laptops, Macs and supported consoles can be assessed for charging or power-connector faults.
Do I need to bring my charger?
If you still have the cable and charger that show the fault, bring them along. They may help narrow down what is happening.
Tell us how the fault behaves.
Include the device model and whether another cable or charger behaves the same way, if you have tried one.
